Jaden ambushed me with the Nokia 6260 I had been using as a bedside clock and took a picture of me working on installing a gate in front of the master bedroom. Yes, Nokia products are simple enough that children can use them. Well, my oldest can anyway.
I've been trying to keep four other blogs active:
- phoneboy.com--my main blog
- gadgets-weblog.com and voip-weblog.com--the two blogs I write for Creative Weblogging
- The Convergence Zone--the blog I'm writing on Nokia's S60 blogs
As such, there hasn't been a whole lot of time to write here, though I'll mention a few things:
- We got an offer on our house, finally! It's not what we would have liked, but we'll at least cover our expenses. The major hemorrhaging will stop, but the new mortgage is still quite a bit to swallow! Tomorrow is the day we know for sure whether or not they are going forward as that's when the inspection will occur.
- Potty Training is on again for Gracie. She seems to be doing okay with peeing on the potty.Pooping is another matter. We had to throw away a couple of pairs of underwear today.
- I'll be in Ottawa next week for work.
If you want to keep up with what I'm doing, your best bet is to follow me on Jaiku. I post there a few times a day, usually. It also aggregates everywhere else I might leave some electronic droppings for you to read.
I haven't done much here recently aside from posting the odd picture taken with my N95. Been kind of busy.
We've been in our new place nearly a month. Boxes are still everywhere. The house is a mess. We're trying to work in regular housecleaning to the regular routine--something we haven't had to do in a while.
And, of course, there's still stuff in the old house. Aside from the furniture still there, we still have plenty of other stuff there as well. My office is pretty well cleaned out, but Jaden's bedroom still has a ton of stuff in the closet. There's also plenty of toys still in the toy room.
Thanks to the equipment purge I recently did--thankfully I was able to give away or recycle almost all of it--I have some empty plastic bins to help get the stuff out of the house today. I'm sure I could fill those up quite a few times and not get everything out.
I have no idea when we'll get all the stuff from the old house. It's probably going to depend on when we sell it. Wish I knew when that was going to be.
Jaden can finally ride his bike without training wheels. Getting started is a little rough and we have forgotten how to steer. Just keep peddling, Jaden.
Last night I was out attempting to get the lawn mowed before daylight left for the day. I noticed there was a huge heavy metal concert going on behind my house. I couldn't see it because of the patch of wetlands, but presumably it was beyond that in a development somewhere.
I ended up talking to our neighbor--we haven't met them all yet, so it's always good to eventually do that. This was an unusual occurrence for this normally quiet neighborhood. Better yet, they stopped before it got too much later. Otherwise, some cops might have been called. Maybe they were, we'll never know.
These are ours, even though technically, they are in the neighbors yard.
