Wheels down IAD. My ass is now dull.
@kdfrawg I wish someone would paint smiles on the front of airplanes still. Probably just as well, flying ain't what it used to be.
Someone had to mention PSA, didn't they? One airline that I would have liked to fly on but it disappeared before I flew regularly. Pacific Southwest Airlines [en.m.wikipedia.org] #nt
@kdfrawg ah, PSA [en.m.wikipedia.org]: an airline I remember fondly for the smiles painted on the planes and their catchy "Catch our smile" jingles. Sadly, never flew on them as that was well before I started visiting the shiny metal tube on a regular basis.
Or did you mean public service announcement? ?

Loved that I just typed a small novel to @matigo as a reply to one of his messages. Guess my coffee is working well. ☕ ?
@matigo this is always something I've struggled with. As someone with the know-how to actually set up my own content servers and the like, it's still more effort than I want to expend, and for what benefit? The masses still use Faceborg and the like.
I've come to a few conclusions:
- Most people don't care about owning their content.
- Even if they did care about owning their content, how much of it is actually worth saving? ?
- The only way to change the status quo is to make it dirt simple for people to do so while allowing inter operation with the Faceborgs of the world. The technology is trending that way, but we have a ways to go before the average person can go into a store, buy, and operate such a solution without turning into a geek.
Yay, my flight's in half an hour early and my next flight is delayed half hour. More JFK time. ?
