Clearly I'm a bad influence. :P

@thrrgilag what is this "sick day" thing people talk about? I don't work with anyone that does that. :P

What Dalton and Bryan wanted for ADN was something very different than what we wanted. Which is why it went the direction it did.

And yes, the future looks bright.

it's nice to feel useful, even if that does mean feeling a bit overworked.

everyone's predicting what Apple will announce. :P

when I was doing helpdesk/TAC, 90% of my job was figuring out what the actual problem was. They would describe it as X but the real problem is Y. Sometimes it's a simple terminology issue, sometimes it's trying to sort out the various symptoms…

that is also a great feature, which Castro has and I've used several times.

I was using Podcasts.app for a while and it has gotten substantially better over the years. The way it handles the playlist is somewhat problematic, which is why I ended up switching.

Castro is the only one that gets it close to right. Only one playlist and new episodes of a podcast either go "top or bottom" of the playlist. Their "inbox" also allows me to decide if I want to listen to particular episodes of a podcast before downloading.

that's always my concern with apps that require a server component is that the server, while getting cheaper, still isn't free.

Currently using Castro, which seems to work pretty well. My failsafe is iCatcher (which doesn't use a backend server at all).
