Wow, my IBM T43 has a very loud processor fan. Given how old that damn thing is, it's probably not worth replacing, even though they can be had for minimal cost on eBay.

@matigo I'm not sure what the official policy is, but I've managed to keep mine. Then again, I've kept all my laptops "in use" for at least 3 years, thus they have little residual value (except maybe for parts).
