Meanwhile I am thinking about the threaded messaging system I coded myself in Apple Basic that was based on BBSes I used back in the mid 1980s. Every message could be the "root" of a new conversation. Didn't have a very good way to render the conversation tree…

@kdfrawg personally I'm not a fan of seeing only the conversation starter in my stream the way Plurk does it. What @matigo did here is somewhat of an improvement on the way Jaiku displayed the timeline.

@kdfrawg as was I. Most of them were terrible, at least on iOS.
