Looks like I get to do one of my "customer engagements" close to home for a change. Still far enough away that I'll take a hotel, but I can avoid the whole "shiny metal tube" part of the experience.

Initial Thoughts on Flash Foresight [phoneboys-opinion.madewithopinion.com]
Just got my copy of Daniel Burrus' new book: Flash Foresight. I'm about a third of the way through it and I have some thoughts.

I think so. As someone who doesn't read too much, I'm already about a third of the way through it. It's like Science Fiction, except everything in it has--or will--happen. The question is: will you be smart enough to see it and act on it before everyone else?

right, which means I won't be sharing pictures on Twitter so much either (IFTTT does that for me).

Mental note for tonight: don't read Flash Foresight right before bed. ?

Whether it's the lesser of two evils or not, the person elected is still evil. ?

Given how little I post over there these days, I'm shocked I still make the list. Guess it's all the stuff they goes through Instagram. ?

The number of posts overall seems to be on a downward trend…

Realistically, unless they go through the carrier testing and whatnot and get on operator shelves—huge expenses in and of themselves—how many people in the US would buy it? Not many. Why substantially increase the COGS of your product for everyone just to capture fractionally more product sales?

TL;DR: Yes.

There aren't too many chipsets that do both US/Canada LTE bands and international ones. The ones that do tend to be significantly more expensive, thus why you only tend to see them in high end Android phones…or iPhones.
