@matigo computers are too complicated for most people. Which isn't their fault. We've done a poor job at making it both usable and secure, a tricky balance for sure. It's one thing Apple has done fairly well at.

@bazbt3 personally I don't even want to mess with other people's devices unless explicitly asked. Then again, I'm a sysadmin type, so I also don't want to see people type in their passwords either. ?
