@matigo if I don't read work email, they'll just bother me on WhatsApp. Which they do anyway :P
@sumudu I usually only see that from Israelis who have a Sunday-Thursday work week. Same for you?
@kdfrawg looking at my past history on MyChart, I've done much better. Back to work…
Alrighty. Blood test results from yesterday are back.
When I got back from the lab, the reading I had on my own meter was 142 mg/dL.
The lab said I had 147 mg/dL, which is within the margin of error.
The A1C number Sugar Sense estimated was 6.5, actual is 7.1 (same as 4 months ago).
Not exactly what I was hoping but at least things didn't get worse.
@indigo as long as you're treating the underlying causes, that's fine. Don't feel like any of the typically prescribed diets actually are addressing those.
// @kdfrawg
@indigo the "ideal range" is somewhere between 70-130 mg/dL (or about 4-7 mmol/L). Fasting should be below 100 mg/dL or 5.5 mmol/L.
Of course you don't want blood sugar to get TOO low, which is why I am monitoring myself regularly as I adjust my diet.
@kdfrawg if you follow what The Obesity Code says, the issue is too much insulin. Dr. Jason Fung lays out a pretty compelling case that is the root issue (though there are many, many ways to get to that point).
High blood glucose is merely a symptom of too much insulin.
/@indigo
Working on getting it lower but it seems like a great number to start from. #bgnow #Diabetes
