@jws the larger instances are very much like Twitter.
That said, you can set up your own instance or join a smaller instance and be very choosy about who you follow. It then becomes fairly manageable.
@jws it's all the Japanese that rarely involves @ replies. What I can really do without is the anime of scantily-clad children. ?
Something seems to be happening on Mastodon that was happening on ADN: People tweeting lots Japanese without any real rhyme or reason.
@matigo I'm happy that instead of trying to do it part time that I'll be able to focus on it full time.
