While the high blood sugar is a problem, it's a symptom of a different problem: insulin resistance. The continued presence of high levels of insulin is what drives a lot of the progression of Type 2 Diabetes.

The only way to address this is to reduce the amount of insulin your body needs to manage your blood sugar and the frequency which the body needs to do it.

You can reduce the number of times your body triggers an insulin response by eating less often (or fasting). You can reduce the amount of insulin required when you eat by eliminating or severely reducing the carbohydrates in your diet (which require the most insulin to manage).

This is basically how I reversed my diabetes.
