we had an outdoor wedding at a bed and breakfast in Couer d'Alene, which is a bit inland from Seattle. Normally, you can expect 30C+ weather and we had covered areas to deal with the heat of the sun.

Not that July 4th. While we were setting up for the wedding, it started raining and blowing. Tarps had to be acquired for the covered areas to prevent people from getting wet. Also, at some point, the wedding cake was set on a poorly placed table and it ended up on the ground.

By the time the ceremony started, the rain stopped, thankfully. The wedding cake in our wedding pictures ended up being a display cake from a nearby grocery store. Our guests ate remnants of birthday cakes from the grocery store.

Needless to say, our wedding day was quite memorable.
