I'm sure even the limited set of sites you DO use already monetizes you (aside from your own of course).

Wish I was still in Munich to enjoy Oktoberfest. :P

Second winds are dangerous, especially when your body clock is already messed up due to a 9 hour time change.

if you use any "free" service, you are going to be monetized. That's just reality. If you're seriously considering using Facebook again, it's worth understanding what you think you are missing by not being on Facebook.

My kids have mostly come to the conclusion that social media is a waste of time. My daughter, after a recent incident where a student at our local high school was arrested for what he posted on social media, decided it wasn't worth participating. My son only rarely uses Twitter.

Maybe they have a point. :P

as the saying goes: shit happens. As long as you're accountable for it, all is generally ok.

With the Germans that are here and the fact I was just in Munich, I kind of want to learn German.

@kdfrawg lots of kids are utterly clueless in this area. Both of my kids are like: no shit!

Of course, my kids have been hearing my wife and I warn them about this crap for years. My son rarely uses social media, this incident caused my daughter to say "screw this, I'm out" (we'll see how long that lasts).

@kdfrawg my son's reaction: what a dumbass.

Some idiot teenager at my kids high school got a talking to by the PoPo for their social media posts. http://q13fox.com/2016/09/15/gig-harbor-high-school-student-arrested-after-alleged-gun-threat-on-social-media/
