Well, that was fun.

Spent the last few days attempting to clean up my network and upgrade my VMware servers to the latest software version (7.0). Unfortunately, that meant the onboard NIC wasn't recognized in either of my Dell servers anymore. That meant none of my VMs had any connectivity to anything. Thankfully I had two of these USB adapters lying around that are recognized by VMware's "community" drivers. Once I got those installed, everything has connectivity again.

Probably won’t be upgrading those servers ever again without replacing the hardware.

it’s also a lot of personal sweat equity, but it’s probably the kind you’ll enjoy.

that is basically my day job, FYI, except it’s cyber security, not the education industry. But a lot of the same concepts apply.

The prospect of masks and social distancing on anything approaching a regular basis does not appeal to me at all. It’s not like I need more obstacles when it comes to dealing with other humans face to face.

FYI, your podcast is currently a topic of discussion with one of the podcast app players I’m using. Apparently your podcast isn’t updating in their backend for some reason, but it is in Podcast Index (which they also leverage).

One other podcast is having a similar issue, so not sure it’s anything you’re doing.

I could probably write a dissertation on this topic. Bottom line: there are some foods that are not safe for me to eat "just one."

Doritos and Oreos come to mind.

I just see an X on a thumbnail when trying to upload a file and it fails. This is whatever nice.social is doing.
