@variablepulserate every system has its pros and cons and you end up paying no matter what. It’s just a question if it’s called a “tax” or a “premium” plus co-pays and deductibles. 🙄

@joeo10 I agree, Section 230 is fine. That said, these companies are clearly acting like publishers with all their flagging (or even outright censorship) of information or opinions they don't consider "accurate." That gives them precisely zero protections under Section 230, as far as I can tell.
@matigo my daughter was climbing down off her desk (don't ask) and ripped a nice size chunk of skin off her her toe.
Fortunately, by the time they got to the ER, the skin had mostly reattached to the wound and the doctor didn't think it was necessary to mess with it. So no stitches or anything, but could be a fun conversation with the insurance company.
Problem with this time of the year: you're never quite sure when the heavens will open up. They definitely did during this 7.5k run. 🌧
Looks like my wife is taking Thing 2 to the ER because Teladoc is fucking useless. Waited an hour only to find out none of their on-call providers are answering on a Sunday night.
Nothing too serious, but I suspect stitches will be needed for the laceration on her toe.
@matigo even traveling to certain states in the US is problematic.
My day job is taking a very conservative approach at the moment, which means no plane trips. Even in-person customer visits are pretty limited. Certainly no marketing events or internal, in-person meetings.
@matigo depends on the next time I have to get on an airplane, which isn't likely anytime soon.
