@matigo that's my point. You will have to draw the line somewhere and make the decision to trust something you didn't write because complete end-to-end control is nearly impossible.
@matigo just realize you're going to be making massive trade offs to get the level of control you want, including reinventing the wheel a-la 10Cv4. If you're ok with that, fine, but where does it end?
To be clear @matigo I sympathize with your plight. As an infosec professional I see a whole lot of untrustworthy computing/software out there. However, there is only so much I can realistically control end-to-end.
Let's cut to the chase @matigo: The reason you're looking at "Changing Platforms" comes down to control. You want you trust as little as possible of your computing experience to others.
It's laudable but I don't see how you can achieve it without degrading your computing experience to last century's "state of the art." Or living offline in a cave. ?
