Bangkok. The "alternative" airline choice was ANA through Narita.

It's a trans-Pacific flight and I'm not flying an airline I have no status on to save the company a few hundred bucks.

Coca Cola, now fortified with Fiber in Japan [coca-colacompany.com]. This is somehow healthy?

Yay, I get to argue with my travel department again. ?

I agree it's an issue (people working too hard without making enough to live on). That said, I'm not sure that raising the minimum wage will make things any better. Businesses will, instead of paying a living wage (and raising costs), simply automate the jobs out of existence.

There's already not a ton of jobs out there for teenagers and young adults, most of which are living at home and thus don't necessarily need a living wage. That said, the experience they gain in these jobs is invaluable. Raise the minimum wage, and a lot of those jobs will disappear.

Personally, I'd rather see a basic universal income of sorts versus a minimum wage.

I did something similar with Workflow on iOS: https://phoneboy.com/workflows-for-10centuries-and-pnut-io

the question I always have is: who gets to determine what is an acceptable living wage and an acceptable workload?

What will probably happen is those jobs will just be automated out of existence. There's a reason Amazon is experimenting with drone delivery.

@kdfrawg losing that much weight so quickly would be hard to forget :P
