Apparently, I'm getting one of these tiny Jelly phones [unihertz.com] to review. We'll see if it doesn't suck too bad.
@matigo what they fail to realize is criminals will make enough mistakes on their own that they can get the data they want through other means. Granted, it means they have to do some actual intelligence work… :P
@matigo That's the very definition of a backdoor. In fact, it's much worse than a backdoor because that would imply not encrypting the data at rest, or encrypting the data with a key that could easily be reversed. Which might as well not be encrypted.
While we rehomed our puppy Cinnamon last week, we had been staying in contact with her new family to make sure everything was ok. Turns out, she has a rare birth defect that causes blood to bypass her liver.
The good news is that she's a good candidate for a surgery that will very likely ensure she leads a normal life. However, the surgery is quite expensive at $5,000. Without the surgery, her prospects are grim.
