@skematica It's amazing how some people can go on and on about a topic. I try to aim for brevity but at the same time, I want to make sure it's thought out enough.

@skematica I really didn't do that piece justice, though. Probably so many more examples I could have used had I spent more time on it. :)

Love how my health provider robocalls my cell phone with no CallerID and leaves a message with no information other than "call us."

Seriously, this is the 21st Century. You'd think they could find a better way to communicate with me and let me respond, rather than have to talk to a human to find out what I already know. Worse: the call is erroneous since the issue should be resolved by now.

Yes I have a 7am meeting on a Holiday week that probably won't start on time. ?

because most of the people that read your stuff are here. There are only a handful of people who refuse to come over and are on Twitter.

my family room is 40dB because of the refrigerator. ?

All direct donations thru PayPal or checks. This has been their model since 2008, well before Patreon (which they don't use). People who donate $50 and over get mentioned on the show. $200 or more buys an (Associate) Executive Producer credit (which people use in IMDB). $1,000 or more in aggregate gets you a knighthood, which gets you a knight ring. And, yes, there is other peerage above that.

Note this setup took a couple of years to refine. The show is also open-source and there are several related producer projects, of which you could count my "No Agenda Quotes" account on Twitter and my "No Agenda Ringtones" page as two.

Yeah… pretty much all laptops suck. Wonder how the new touchbar will work outside of macOS?

It lacks one thing most shows have: sponsors. That has a huge impact on the stories that are covered and the angles that can be explored. As a result, I can trust them a bit more in terms of being honest about their thinking, even if I don't always agree with it.

If I disagree, or want to find out more, the source material is made available as part of the extensive show notes: the articles and audio/video clips. There are enough Producers (listeners) actively participating worldwide to keep them honest. Sometimes, John and Adam will disagree on something. And yes, they will admit when they were wrong, something mainstream media will rarely do.

Between their banter and the jingles and songs submitted by Producers (almost all of the ones they use came from listener submissions), it's a damn entertaining show.

For iPads, yes. All the major carriers will let you get a SIM card and pay-as-you-go data on the iPad. T-Mobile has by far the best deal.

Apple also sells a carrier-agnostic SIM in their stores specifically for the iPad. Which will be useful for international travel.
