The way I learned programming back in the 80s was transcribing programs out of David Ahl’s BASIC Computer Games and modifying them. Today, they have shit like Flowgorithm.
Apparently, one of the grocery stores in my quaint Southern town had a bomb threat [3bmedianews.com] yesterday. 😳
@matigo it’s not as wrong as it was on the discharge paperwork and my local mail carrier might have actually given it to me. Either way…
Turns out my little escapade in the ER last month is going to cost me, or at least my health savings account, $1900. Had I not looked on the discharge paperwork and realized they had the wrong address written down for me, the bill would have went to someone else.
Went into my local AT&T store to pay off a device and cancel the associated line. The store was happy to take my money to pay off the device but told me I had to call to cancel service because they no longer had the ability to do so.
Tried to cancel the service online..same thing.
Meanwhile, after waiting a half hour on hold and listening to the upsell pitch…I finally was able to get it done.
Companies sure don't make it easy to discontinue service.
@matigo At least I now know what aria-labels are. Not sure how you’re supposed to create these labels for multiple languages at once. Or Japanese.
Now I've gone from rebranding to making the website more "Web Accessible" because of upcoming EU regulations.
When did I become a fucking web developer again?
