Even if Apple ends up allowing sideloaded apps, most likely through a convoluted process most people wouldn't do, Apple could place additional restrictions on the API usage if the app is sideloaded. That could mitigate a significant amount of the shady behavior.

while I’m no fan of the 30% vig Apple and others charge, at least on most of the other platforms, you have alternative ways to acquire the game that don’t involve middlemen who insist on their 30% vig. With Apple, you don’t.

It’ll be interesting to see how this lawsuit plays out. No doubt the only loser in this whole thing will be us consumers, though.

Not bad considering the occasional stop for blackberries.

Not happy Apple broke the Apple Watch Camera Remote in iOS 14…and completely resorted all my shortcuts so I couldn’t find anything. Still, ran the miles.

My wife is looking to buy a new car. She’s decided on what car she wants and is trying to figure out where we’re going to buy it (best price, etc).

On my phone, in the Amazon app, not even connected to our home WiFi, I see an ad for the very car she’s looking at. And no, we’re not buying the car through Amazon.

That’s some fucked up creepy shit right there.

pretty much, when the entire exercise is nothing but listening to lobbyists.
