As of last week, they declared schools in the Greater Seattle area closed as of this Tuesday, with tomorrow supposedly a school day. That has clearly changed:
CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE - SCHOOLS CLOSED MONDAY, MARCH 16
Governor Jay Inslee will announce tomorrow his order to further limit the size of public gatherings in Washington State during the coronavirus pandemic, therefore school will be closed to students and staff."
Yeah, that doesn't sound ominous at all.
Noticed a LOT of empty church parking lots on today's jog. Which is quite unusual for a Sunday. I know at least one of the churches moved their service online. Which, given the restrictions on gathering sizes around here (no more than 250), makes sense.
After doing 11 miles, I thought "eh, maybe only 6 miles today." Did over 9 which got me to…onederland.
Given the scene at several US airports where people are returning from overseas, I am VERY glad I'm safe at home and nowhere near those crowds.
@matigo if you're not eating sugar and grains, your joints will definitely be less inflamed. There's a reason I can jog so many miles every day.
