It’s still pretty damn cold outside (-11C) but at least the heater is actually keeping up again.
@variablepulserate When you’re dealing with three Christmas trees, all the ornaments, replacing all the stuff on the various shelves…yeah, it took a bit to get it all out and then put away.
In the end, the only part I did was the stuff outside, which mostly involved waiting for a day where it wasn’t raining. I might have helped move the Christmas trees too and from their location in the garage, too.
@variablepulserate This tree and the jukebox are the first Christmas decorations I've bought for myself, and constitute the extent of the decorations that are out for the holiday. The fireplace is a wax warmer and isn't Christmas specific.
Meanwhile, the marital home has boxes and boxes of Christmas stuff at the marital home…all of which was purchased by the ex or made by the children at various points of their lives. And it's a multi-week process to get everything put out and then put away. My decorations take…maybe five minutes total to put them out and then put them away.
Simplicity.
