@larand Reading that article makes me appreciate the various "early warning" systems we have today… as well as the various communication systems we have in place.
90 years ago, there was almost none of that. Which meant many of the people that died that night had no clue a disaster was heading their way, much less any warning when it was clear that it was.

@jussipekonen Sounds familiar. I dropped a ton of weight on Atkins back in the day, which involved cutting carbs and sugars. Sadly, the carbs and sugar crept back in. I know now I simply can't allow that to happen.

@tomas after months of one meal a day along with some 2-3 day fasts, fat and salt do not make me crave sugar at all.
