@matigo there was a time when those interest rates were illegal and usury. Now, it’s common practice.
@matigo given the business travel I do, and the fact I'm occasionally having to order marketing swag, a credit card is definitely needed. We pay the thing off, of course, because paying 20% interest is for chumps.
@matigo rent and regular bills give you some credit history. Not as much as having a credit card, which is becoming increasingly difficult to do in the US anyway.

Body weight in general is so weird. The fact bathroom scales are notoriously inaccurate doesn’t help either.
@c I'm not going to pretend my jet-setting lifestyle is helping matters. Then again, neither is getting a new mobile phone every two years, or all the electronics we collectively buy. It's not just batteries that use child-mined materials.
