@kdfrawg The reason I travel for the most part (user groups) didn’t really start taking off until end of August. My other major travel commitment in the new job (Internal conferences) are beginning of the year things which were largely over by the time I took the new job.

So yes, I had a bit of a lull this past summer. I don’t expect such a lull next summer.

@kdfrawg agreed but I am holding out a sliver of hope the situation inproves

Not ? but ? ??

Looks like Aurea is selling Jive-X to Lithium [lithium.com]. This is going to be…disruptive to https://community.checkpoint.com, I suspect.

@kdfrawg At least it provides some evidence when my wife starts telling me I'm traveling less this year than last year. I'm on about the same pace, just as I thought.

@kdfrawg that's what you should do, but that's how it rarely goes.

@kdfrawg we are food obsessed. Doesn't help that it's everywhere.

@kdfrawg True, but a large part of why it is the way it is that vendors have to do a lot of the necessary work themselves for backporting security fixes and the like. Which, when they've made almost nothing on the handset when sold, is a significant cost to bear, especially later in the handset lifecycle.

It may do nothing for the low-end phones, but for flagships, it means they MIGHT be supported for longer than two years now.

all emanating from Seattle ?
