@kdfrawg my wife probably did good to remind my daughter that waking me up generally results in a bad reaction… and suggesting that texting us to ask which one of us will take her to school will likely be ignored. :P

The problem we've had with being "accepted" to get a dog before now is that we don't have a fully fenced in yard. We still don't have that. However, this dog is fairly small. Even with a fence, there are plenty of wild animals around here that would probably make a snack of a small dog--enough that we wouldn't leave it outside.
This place was ok with that, which has never worked before. We will eventually solve the fence issue, but not this year.
@kdfrawg I tested my blood pressure at home before I went in. I got: 96/70 and 110/79. I've never seen those kind of results.
