Perhaps having a double shot of espresso after having a drink with six shots of espresso was not the wisest decision I've ever made. ?
@kdfrawg it was in an email that went to our CEO (among others) talking about the success of our recent "Ask Me Anything" event.
My boss referred to me as "Lord of CheckMates" and "Steward of Copyediting."
Sounds like a compliment to me.
@jws The only thing I don't pay out-of-pocket for is airfare. Everything else is out-of-pocket and expense. They are pretty quick with reimbursement, though, as long as I get it in on time and it's in the policy guidelines.
On the plus side, I get that much extra cash back on my Costco Visa card at the end of the year :)
@matigo the expense tool knows what the market rate is for a given day and won't let me exceed that. Allows for some variations since different cards charge different exchange rates and fees. Feel like a gigantic scam to me.
Nothing like expense reports with three different currencies and manually adjusting the exchange rate to make sure you don't end up on the losing end of the deal.
@matigo hopefully it's something I'll notice when I'm in the US and can easily pop down to Target or similar and buy one.
@kdfrawg that's also sometime after eating as well. Opted for lunch today since it had been 48 hours since my last meal.
