@hybotics that sucks big time.
@kdfrawg I'm sure most soldiers can do it quietly. Unless I have a CPAP machine, I'm anything but quiet when I sleep. :P
On sleeping in strange places @matigo it’s something I’ve done all my life growing up. I was the child of divorced parents and sometimes slept at grandparents houses, on the floor at someone’s house while one of my parents was partying, in cars, at the other parents house, and so on. The longest I had a single bed growing up was maybe 2 years, tops.
It might be why I can sleep just about anywhere as an adult. I had to as a child.
@indigo The thing about intermittent fasting is that you can kind of plan around those special occasions. For example, when I knew that our friend was holding a Hawaiian Luau at her house, I didn't eat before I went over there, ignored my usual restrictions, and enjoyed myself. Went back on the straight and narrow the next day.

@matigo That's probably a good bit of land by Japanese standards. "At least 10m from a neighboring home" is probably an unrealistic requirement in Japan, unless you've got shedloads of cash on hand.
