@kdfrawg sounds like a good reason to stop taking it.
@kdfrawg It's especially annoying where my blood sugar is at right now. A 120 mg/dL reading could be anywhere from 102 (good!) to 138 mg/dL (just a little high).
Clearly these instruments aren't designed to help you actually improve your condition.
// @c
@c insert pretty much. It doesn't help that the FDA considers a +/- 15% result 95% of the time accurate.
Left samples of bodily fluids this morning. My blood glucose meter told me I had a 114 mg/dL right after they drew my blood. Curious what the lab will say and what my A1C will actually be. The program I've been using to track this suggests it might be 5.8.
I guess I'll find out soon enough.
@kdfrawg @JeremyCherfas They don't even tell you how the individual characters are pronounced, much less how when you combine them, different sounds are made. I can recognize some words based on sight, but ask me to type what I hear in Hebrew, and I have a difficult time right now.
Duolingo doesn’t explain any of the rules of Hebrew at all. Which doesn’t really make it a good program. And people swear by this why?
@matigo I’m actually surprised he wasn’t taken out by the FBI. You know, the FaceBook Investigators. ?
@matigo you might get some insight into that by listening to this week's Internet History Podcast where an early programmer from Facebook [internethistorypodcast.com] provides some interesting insight into Zuckerberg.
@nitinkhanna yeah, I turned off the voiceover. The other stuff doesn't bother me as much.
