@variablepulserate it could have been a lot worse without the AC for sure. Which in this area, is probably the majority since it rarely gets above 30C here (like a few days a year). So far, we’ve had multiple days above 30C and it’s not even July yet.
@matigo oh, I have plenty of stories as an adult, too. Where we used to live in Port Orchard, power outages were very common in the winter. Trees and power lines don’t get along. 🤪
Never thought I’d be calling 31C “cooler weather” but compared to today’s 44C weather, it will be.
No, MiniMe, I have no idea if the Internet is coming back up in the morning. It doesn’t usually go down and it’s usually not for this long. Then again, we’ve also had record breaking heat in Gig Harbor (110F/44C). Just an educated guess on my part, but more than likely, these events are related.
Yeah, it’s going to make it difficult to teach a class remotely tomorrow. No idea what to tell you except welcome to adulthood where you occasionally have to eat shit sandwiches.
MiniMe turns 21 on Monday so he tried a few adult beverages for the first time. Doesn't have my taste in beer…yet. So I guess this one is mine.

Been a while since I posted, looks like. Still here, trying to focus on improving my health more. Added some strength training to my regimen. And reading every night.
@axodys this side of the cascades will only be marginally cooler. I’ve only experienced 100 degree weather once or twice on this side of the cascades, yet we have three straight days of it forecast.
