@matigo it's amazing how much your brain affects your perception of reality.

Wow, I wasn't expecting those thoughts tonight. I'm suddenly all verklempt.

Around 5 years ago from today, I was driving down to Redding to see my dad right before he passed away. Mentally he was already mostly gone by then.

Ironically it wasn't lung cancer that killed him, for all the smoking he did. It was brain cancer.

@matigo the last time I remember getting GPRS on a modern smartphone was when I was driving through southern Oregon and Northern California back in 2010.

@jussipekonen

@matigo because they have to try and get your attention over all the other loud things.

I remember when I had a 300 baud acoustic coupler modem and a rotary dial phone. I suddenly feel old.

@matigo because I refuse to pay for an SSL certificate. It's not self-signed, but Apple clearly doesn't trust the CA that issued my cert.

@matigo No that's already non-SSL because it's hosted via whatever infrastructure Opinion [www.madewithopinion.com] provides. I'm talking about for @phoneboyspeaks, which is hosted on a VM somewhere I control.

Because Apple can't handle my SSL certificate, I had to make a non-SSL version of my podcast feed and submit THAT to iTunes. >_<

Well, fuck, Apple can't validate my SSL certificate, so it's not showing the PhoneBoy Speaks podcast as being listed in the directory.
