When I was a kid, this was Chevron station and they did auto repairs. Now, it's a Starbucks. I guess people are still fueling up here, just with caffeine instead of petrol.
Interesting factoid about the Monterey Bay: it's deeper than the Grand Canyon. Which means they're usually a marine layer just off the coast. You can see it there past the lighthouse.
Don't remember sea lions taking up residence on the Santa Cruz Wharf but here they are.
One of the few things that hasn’t changed at the Boardwalk: the carousel where you can throw rings at a clown. I remember getting it in the mouth…once. Hard to do from a moving carousel.
Used to come to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk as a kid. First time I've been here when it's open in…at leaat a couple decades.
Believe these cherry blossoms are now immortalized in the Check Point office in Tel Aviv.
