In the three months I’ve stayed at this AirBnB, there have been several other guests as the hosts rent two of their rooms out.

The current guest is a guy from Afghanistan who is separated from his wife. Was apparently some sort of translator for the US military (and is a US citizen), but is currently jobless. Sounds like him and his estranged wife are considered refugees.

hate to say it, but assume it’s a middle finger.

when I was living in a hotel in downtown Tacoma for a week, there were some pretty sketchy areas. Where I’m at now, it’s just a matter of having limited areas where there is a sidewalk and/or enough shoulder. I do have a trail nearby, but that goes only so far.

funny thing: I stopped wearing my wedding band well before the separation. Mostly because I lost so much weight, the thing wouldn’t fit. Then again, the marriage stopped fitting along time ago.

I’m definitely not running as much as I was before due to the fact the options for doing so safely are a bit more limited. That said, I’m still doing it.

not going to lie, I’ve gained a few pounds since this started. It’s as much to do with what I can buy due to my living situation as much as it is…stress.

she’s not going to make this easy. Then again, when you spend 25 years not fighting, everything is a fight.

my living situation is temporary at the moment. Hopefully, in the next few weeks, that’ll be sorted. Then, it’ll be a matter of dealing with the legal machinations, which might take a while.

Things were seriously fucked the first few days and weeks of my divorce . At least you have a place to be, I didn’t even have that. Still don’t, really, but I’m making progress.

it’s ground zero period. Without a bank account you can’t do much of anything.
