@matigo it’s a good thing I don’t care that much about money. That said, I do care that I have enough to cover my expenses. Seems the courts care more about hers than mine, though, but I think I’ll be able to manage.
@jussipekonen she went up against the legal system in Washington State, which is pretty skewed against those who make money. 🙄
Well, the hearing in my divorce didn’t exactly go as planned. On the plus side, I now see a clear path forward.
@jussipekonen I submitted more than a year’s worth of pay stubs as part of my financial disclosure. The net income varies throughout the year due to changing tax deductions.
My soon-to-be ex is trying like hell to inflate my income in the court’s eyes so she can demand more money from me. There’s a word for that…
@matigo the original order was based on incomplete information about my financials and I have no idea how that can be considered reasonable per RCW 26.09.090 [app.leg.wa.gov].
Her request? I probably wouldn’t even be able to afford to live in my car.
I entirely reversed Type 2 Diabetes during my marriage to the Respondent, yet she’s now admitted in court documents to undergoing foot treatments related to diabetes, which I admit was news to me. And she has the audacity to ask for sole authority to make healthcare decisions for our daughter? Yeah, not if I have anything to say about it.
Apparently, the respondent thinks that 75% of my take-home pay isn't enough to maintain her status quo and wants more. Meanwhile, I'm not too far removed from living in my car if the courts don't reduce the existing order…
