The problem we've had with being "accepted" to get a dog before now is that we don't have a fully fenced in yard. We still don't have that. However, this dog is fairly small. Even with a fence, there are plenty of wild animals around here that would probably make a snack of a small dog--enough that we wouldn't leave it outside.
This place was ok with that, which has never worked before. We will eventually solve the fence issue, but not this year.
@kdfrawg I tested my blood pressure at home before I went in. I got: 96/70 and 110/79. I've never seen those kind of results.
@indigo my boss gave me a similar target for a bit after the Holidays, actually… one I've moved up a little :)
@indigo I'm working towards being a couple stone lighter by the time I see him in January for my physical.
The other doctors office achievement: I lost 9 pounds since the doctor saw me last month.
@thrrgilag seems like some of our marketing people need to learn the same lesson. ?
@kdfrawg we pretty much only do rescue animals. First dog I've had since, well, I was a kid.
@joeo10 in my case it was a gift. It got hooked up to the kids TV, who I expect will make better use of it than my wife.
