@matigo I expect it will be.
@kdfrawg my favorite charge: you pay a half cent per hour for an elastic IP that is allocated to you but not attached to an instance that is running.
I just now realized by looking at my bill that I had two IPs allocated, but really only need to keep one. That just saved me a couple bucks.
@matigo My AWS bill last month was about $44, which is not bad for setting up and running a few demos for user groups. Hopefully it stays in that range.
Never ceases to amaze me how easy it is to create and destroy infrastructure in AWS…and how costly it can be.
@matigo That means it works… but it also means I need better error checking in my workflows.
@kdfrawg When you consider that Gig Harbor:
- Already has a Drive-Thru Starbucks
- Already has 6 of them (including ones in Grocery Stores)
- Is not that big of a town (around 9,000 in city limits according to Google)
Kinda agree. One local chain here (Cutters Point) is doing pretty well, with a number of locations nearby [cutterspoint.com]. There are a handful of others.
@kdfrawg plenty, I just don't go to them. ?
We did lose one of our local places in Gig Harbor (Kimballs). That entire building is currently under construction and will become a Starbucks Drive Thru next Spring.
It's a good thing, as it's a bit closer to my house.
