people here spend easily $150-200/mo on their cable bill…and $200 a month for several mobile phone lines (more if they do payment plans). And yes, I agree, it's crazy.

In the US, I pay $100/mo for 5 lines on Cricket Wireless.

apparently T-Mobile US's new "Jump on Demand" program will let you change phones every 30 days, if you prefer. Haven't looked at the details of that, but it's a lot better than dropping a ton of coin on a phone and not liking it.

sounds like almost every phone sold in the US operator stores as well.

they certainly don't sell them in the US, or probably anywhere outside of the Japanese market :P
