The old lawyer asked for an address to mail the remainder of the retainer to. That along with the notice filed with the court last week means…the new lawyer is officially onboard with my divorce.
@variablepulserate When you’re restarting your life from scratch, there are a LOT of unexpected costs. That said, I think I’ve taken care of the most pressing things and should be well stocked on the basics.
On the divorce front, no news is good news. Except for the fact I spent almost double what I bring in a month in the month of September due to the change in counsel.

@matigo I don’t believe so. My ex changed lawyers pretty early on. I probably should have done the same.

My divorce lawyer has made one thing abundantly clear: she’s not up to the task at hand. Hopefully the lawyer I have an appointment with on Monday is.
