@jextxadore this sounds a bit like what I went through in the early phases of my divorce. There was no “stay” option in my case, and the decisions about my things involved what would fit in my Prius. Definitely no going back, either.
Episode 31 of The Lotus Effect is now available and is titled Time, Trolling, and Treasure [lotuseffect.show]. Pheonix and I talk about the truth and the bullshit of Keto.
@matigo I’ve been hemorrhaging money since I separated from my not soon enough ex. Mostly because I’ve had to give most of my paycheck towards supporting her. 😬
Now that I have a more stable living situation in a cheaper part of the world, I’m hoping my living costs will stabilize to something that’s sustainable.

@matigo the lawyer has made the point that fair and equitable does not mean equal. In my experience, it's neither fair or equitable, either. :P
Discovered the not-soon-enough ex had removed me from the auto insurance. Which is funny because the court orders say we weren’t allowed to make changes to the insurance with respect to each other…
Of course, I have my own policy now anyway. Even so, it’s technically a violation of the court order. Not that I expect my lawyer will do anything about it. Or the courts. 🙄
I got the expected pushback from my lawyer when I told her I wasn't going to disclose where I live and with whom as part of the financial glasnost I was required to do. I told her they needed to argue relevance to a judge--good luck with that since there are no minor children and I wasn't requesting visitation anyway--and that I accept potentially having to pay her legal fees to do so.
Finally, those papers are now signed…and she'll hopefully have her own version of those papers shortly.
