@matigo If she could have actually been an adult and file taxes the way we'd done the last 25 years, we would have done a joint return for 2021 and gotten a refund. Instead, she chose to violate a court order and filed a separate return…and got a refund.
I got her tax return through discovery and see she claimed things she had no right to claim considering I made all the income in 2021. The tax return I filed based on that is practically guaranteed to cause an audit for both of us even though I ended up owing money. And, unfortunately for her, the facts are on my side.
I never thought I'd say this, but: I'm actually looking forward to being audited by the IRS for the return I'm finally submitting for 2021.
Dumping all my photos from Google Photos into Apple's photos. Probably a lot of duplicates, which I believe it's actually catching, but some EXIF data may have been lost in the process… 🙄
Still waiting on the final order for my divorce to be issued so I can do one very important thing: change my name.
Pretty sure even if parties agree to something in writing, if it contains provisions that would require you to knowingly commit a crime or be complicit in criminal activity, those provisions are not enforceable in court.
@sumudu its money I've already spent, thankfully. And, hopefully, I won't need much more of his time.
And I just got the bill from my lawyer for everything up until current. Yeah, that was expensive.
