@kdfrawg We have a lot of shelves in our garage. Sadly, some of my wife's plastic bins don't fit in them. We have a few shelves above the cars that can hold taller items, but they are a bit inconvenient to get to at times.

@kdfrawg look like she decorated one tree and the kids did the other one last night. Upstairs needs decorating still, but that's a small task in comparison.

I just hope she makes a few of the bigger boxes smaller or at least lighter. Our two big ones have to be put above the cars in the garage. They are also the heaviest, which is a bad combination.

Exactly.

social media wasn’t quite the thing that it is now back in 2008. Which meant a lot of thoughts went on the blog, and may have had time to develop.

Which reminds me: my sites are currently a mess. Almost want to blow everything up and start over. Almost.

@kdfrawg this year my wife got most of the decorations out over the long weekend. We also managed to put out two Christmas trees (one fake, one real) and light the real one. That might be a record.

in my teens I had access to both Macs and a VAX/VMS system using VT100 terminals. Somewhere I picked up a Unix account on UH-Hilo’s system that had access to pre-web Internet.

Then I got a front-row seat to web browsers in college on big Unix workstations. ?

people carry around supercomputers compared to what we learned on at his age.

Where's my physical keyboard, damn it? :P

I think the language they teach is less important than teaching the thought process. That said, it's real easy to get tripped up on syntax. = versus == in an if statement, for instance. :P

most people with Android devices don't look at things at that level. They just think "this thing is slow as shit" and don't understand why.
