it's pretty much everywhere, the difference being the variety of carbs.

Italy was all pasta and bread. Really tasty pasta and bread, but still, carbs.

@kdfrawg the one thing I've noticed in general is that the more I eat (regardless of what), the higher my blood sugar is.

@kdfrawg some carbs are clearly better than others. Too bad they don't offer a "low carb" option on flights…that'd be nice.

@kdfrawg especially when you travel to countries that serve carbs, carbs, carbs, with a side of carbs.

and sadly, because my in-laws are coming over for dinner, I'll probably have to eat dinner to be polite. That said, I've been measuring my blood sugar all day. It started at 153 this morning, it's down to 126 right now. So that's…something.

that usually works as well, but since I don't always have a low-carb, high-protein option when traveling, I want to try this.

of course, but then you have to deal with import/export laws in different countries, which make that problematic at least for international flights.

The diabetic meals the airlines serve are a joke. We'll see how Gluten Free works on my next trip.

@kdfrawg if I have too much aspartame, my digestive tract is very unhappy with me. I occasionally have sucralose-laced stuff at Starbucks when I enjoy a free drink, but also generally avoid it.

I've had nothing to eat today except for coffee and cream. Trying to see if I can get my blood sugar down a bit.
