I'm sensing a pattern here. Mildly frustrating one, but given my travel schedule as of late, it's not entirely shocking.

@js I have observed the same.. Almost too easy to push stuff into that void without engaging. Which begets less engagement.

@jws Possibly. Don't have much attention span for books of all kinds, personally. Hard to know for sure what they're all doing. Google, Apple, and Amazon surely know, though.

@konrad The whole walking up to people and messing with their smartphone usage bit is definitely a dick move.

@jws I'm curious how many people do/did that versus walk around immersed in their smartphone.

Upgraded my Ubuntu desktop to 18.04. Had a bit of an issue getting grub to configure before the upgrade, and I had to forcibly power off to reboot, but it rebooted ok and I was able to get grub updated after reboot.
