After I gave my quarantine cut a trim, I took it out for a test drive.

the current "days in a row" streak is 163. My flight to Bangkok lost me a day after 204 days. 🙄

Been a while since I broke out the Aeropress.

Made significantly better time than yesterday. Not that I was trying.

yeah, maybe.

The doctor still suggested I take a statin in any case. Maybe if one of my future angiograms shows calcium. 😬

Today's visit with the new doctor went…alright, and was reasonably productive. He was impressed with the progress I had made.

  • The increased A1C: He's not worried.
  • The high LDL: "Take a statin." I told him why I won't. Asked me what I did for a living and why I knew so much. I educate myself 😁
  • Are my blood pressure meds doing anything? Let's try cutting them in half and find out, monitor blood pressure.
  • Aneyruism: Let's check it again in November.

to be clear, the cholesterol doesn't worry me. In the slightest. I'm sure I'll need another angiogram done to check on my aneurysm which will confirm my lack of cardiovascular disease.

Even the A1C going up is not entirely unexpected. My red blood cells are probably living a LOT longer now. The longer they hang around, the higher the chance sugar gets stuck to them and thus be picked up on an A1C test. All the jogging I've done the past couple months has pumped a lot of glucose into my body (thank you gluconeogenesis).

Personally not too worried but I'm sure the doctor (a new one for me) will have a field day.

Keeping myself In Zone 2 today was…challenging.
