we’ve signed an agreement. There will be more paperwork to do in order to transfer assets and such, but it’s basically over.

It's not exactly the settlement I wanted, but…I think I can live with it.

If my ex did what I think she did, she might find herself with orange jumpsuits, three hots, and a cot.

Turns out my not soon enough ex has a job. I found proof of it on the web. Funny, when we asked that question in discovery, she told us she didn't have a job and has gone radio silent…

as far as I'm concerned, she could have started working or getting retraining the moment Thing 2 started high school. Which was…four years ago?

She clearly never had any intention of divorcing me.

she knows she won’t get the deal she has now once this is finalized. And, worse, she’ll have to get a job, which you’d think more than a year AFTER we discussed divorce that she’d have something…anything.

After paying this month's bills, which included a hefty retainer for a new divorce lawyer, my financial cushion is now completely gone. From here, things could get interesting, especially since my ex is doing everything she can to delay the inevitable.

The only new fact I learned about my divorce this past week is my ex-wife’s lawyer hasn’t been responding to communications from my lawyer. Considering mediation is scheduled for next week and she still owes answers to my requests…this could get interesting.

If I told y’all what happened over the last 24 hours or so, you wouldn’t believe it. That said, I should have something in the way of confirmation in the very near future…

Somehow, I went from fearing the email where all the divorce correspondence goes to actually relishing it. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
