I reached an actual human at the IRS today. Turns out, despite numerous attempts at updating my address, they had the right street address but the wrong city/state. And I got them to tell me why I still owe money for 2021. I did get them to forgive most of the penalties and fees. Once I get the notice…I'll pay it.
