@sumudu this is all about money at this point. Which, if I get right down to it, was probably the only reason she stayed married to me for as long as I did.
I find it interesting what the soon-to-be ex communicates with me directly versus what she chooses to communicate through her lawyer. And I suspect her lawyer is either not relaying the information or is advising the respondent not to…respond.
Either way, I suspect our next court hearing will be interesting. And will require me to give her even more money I don't have.
@variablepulserate the wife (who isn’t a citizen) is most definitely a refugee. Since they are married, he’s being treated similarly.
It’s an odd situation no question.
In the three months I’ve stayed at this AirBnB, there have been several other guests as the hosts rent two of their rooms out.
The current guest is a guy from Afghanistan who is separated from his wife. Was apparently some sort of translator for the US military (and is a US citizen), but is currently jobless. Sounds like him and his estranged wife are considered refugees.
@matigo when I was living in a hotel in downtown Tacoma for a week, there were some pretty sketchy areas. Where I’m at now, it’s just a matter of having limited areas where there is a sidewalk and/or enough shoulder. I do have a trail nearby, but that goes only so far.
@matigo funny thing: I stopped wearing my wedding band well before the separation. Mostly because I lost so much weight, the thing wouldn’t fit. Then again, the marriage stopped fitting along time ago.
@matigo I’m definitely not running as much as I was before due to the fact the options for doing so safely are a bit more limited. That said, I’m still doing it.
@matigo not going to lie, I’ve gained a few pounds since this started. It’s as much to do with what I can buy due to my living situation as much as it is…stress.
